Jam Tarts

Original source: BBC Good Food

Ingredients:

Plain flour 250g

Cold butter 125g

egg 1

Jam 100g

How to make:

Cut the cold butter into cubes.

Then mix it with the flour and a pinch of salt (using your fingers).

Once it looks like breadcrumbs add the egg and 1 tbsp of cold water and mix into a dough.

Then wrap in cling film and leave in the fridge for 30 mins if you’re feeling patient

Butter a tart tin and roll out the dough to about £1 coin thickness, then use a cookie cutter or a glass to cut it into circles.

Then chuck those circles into the tin, along with a dolop or two of jam.

If you have any leftover dough you could cut out some nice shapes or letters to put on top of the jam.

Bake for 15 to 18 mins at 180.
